Over the past half term Year One have continued to learn about the local area. This week we focused on the types of jobs people do in Burnt Oak and how they help others in the local community. We visited a pharmacy, bank, baker, post office and train station. The
On Tuesday 1S performed their class assembly to the infants and their adults. They performed the traditional story ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. The children performed and sang beautifully! Everyone was fantastic! Well done 1S, you are all superstars!
This week 1L performed their class assembly. The children have been exploring traditional tales this half term, including Little Red Riding Hood, which was the story they shared in the assembly. The children showed how hard they have been working to learn their lines and songs which they demonstrated wonderfully!

This half term in Year One we are learning about self-portraits. To start off our new Art topic in an exciting way, we took a trip to The National Portrait Gallery to take part in a “What is Portrait?” workshop. We learned what portraits are, how they can be different
