What a positive start to the new school year! Our children have returned to school ready and motivated to challenge themselves and have a successful year in their new classes. Please check the website regularly for updates about past or upcoming events- we are sure to have another busy year!
This week Year 5 have had a fabulous time exploring life cycles of insects at Hampstead Heath. Our children had the opportunity to explore woodland and go pond dipping to develop their understanding. We loved our time in the Great Outdoors!

Today 5L performed their class assembly which was all about the Victorians. They shared many exciting facts and the singing and acting was phenomenal! Well done!
Children from the Orion primary school came to visit Barnfield School with their pet snake Kellogg. The year 6 girls were very confident, knowledgeable and extremely well spoken. We really enjoyed their visit and learnt lots of new facts. Barnfield children behaved impeccably and set a wonderful example. Well done!

To help celebrate Easter and the beginning of Spring, the infant children took part in an Easter Bonnet competition. Our children worked very hard to create beautiful and unique works of art which they wore to our assembly. Mrs Jones helped many children to demonstrate their hard work and the Easter
Year 4 produced a wonderful Easter assembly! Congratulations to all the actors and singers on their amazing performances.
Throughout March, children in Years 2 – 5 have been working hard in their classes to create multiplication songs to help them to learn their times-tables. This week, their final performances have been shown in assembly and it has been wonderful to see the children getting so excited about sharing
The PSA Easter Bake Sale was hugely successful and with our community’s support they raised nearly £200. Thank you to the families who attended and for the hard work of the PSA in organising and running the event. We look forward to the next one!
