We had a successful Black History Week at Barnfield exploring life, tradition and moments in history. The children throughout the school covered a range of topics, developing their understanding, respect as well as empathy. The children participated in workshops run by Zo Zo where children developed their skills in drumming,
Year 6 had such a wonderful trip to Cuffley Camp! The teachers were very impressed with their enthusiasm for all activities! It was an amazing week!
Year 3 had such a wonderful time on their trip to St Albans Cathedral on Friday 9th June! They really enjoyed learning more about the Romans, acting out the story of St Alban and making mosaics. Their behaviour was absolutely fantastic and we were very proud of them!
The Nursery was full of excitement and joy celebrating the festival of Easter. The children created beautiful cards for their families, along with delicious chocolate nests. 3RW performed their class assembly on Friday 24th March. They taught us so much about the Romans! Their singing and acting was absolutely fantastic… Well done, 3RW!

Children across the school created class superheroes this week, to represent the superhero inside all of us! They learnt about resilience and qualities that can help us to “bounce back” when we encounter problems or challenges. We were very impressed with their thoughtful descriptions of their superheroes in assembly! Well
