On Monday 6th October, Year 2 had a visit from the London Fire Brigade. They learnt about how to keep their homes safe and what to do if there is a fire. They learnt a great song to help them!

On Thursday 2nd October, Year 2 went on a trip to London Fire Brigade Museum. They had great fun acting out the Great Fire of London! They then learnt about the invention of fire engines and ways in which they have changed over the years. It was a fantastic day!
This week Barnfield had a special visitor: the poet Paul Lyalls. He had us shrieking with laughter in assemblies and inspired Year 4 children to write fantastic poems back in their classrooms. Many children met Paul after school and bought his new book of poems.
