Our children have been taking part in some really exciting reading competitions. Our first reading competition was on being ‘Caught Reading’. There was only one rule: children had to be captured reading in an unusual place. We had an amazing response from children and adults in the school. Everyone was extremely creative with where they chose to be ‘caught.’
With a lot of difficulty choosing, Mrs Gunn and Mrs Saberwal did choose a winner. Fatima from 6J was caught reading to a mannequin in a shop. She was chosen as they thought her picture was very original. When asked, Fatima commented, ‘’I was taking my book everywhere with me and this seemed like the perfect spot.’’
We look forward to introducing more competitions later on this term.
