At the beginning of the day, EYFS and Key Stage 1 Children should enter school via the Gaskarth Road gate entrance. Adults say goodbye to the children at the main green gates and pupils are able to walk independently to their classes. Older siblings may accompany their brothers / sisters and also walk this way into school.

Key Stage 2 children should enter school via the Silkstream gate entrance and walk independently to their class.

Both gates open from 8.40am to enable a ‘soft start’. We respectfully ask parents and carers to leave the entrance area promptly at 8.50am when the bell is rung so we can close the gates and keep the site secure.

Adults must accompany pupils to the main office if you arrive after the gates have closed at 8.50am.

At the end of the day we operate a one way system to ease congestion. Children should be collected from their classrooms between 3.15-3.20pm.

Adults who are collecting Key Stage 2 pupils only are able to enter via the Silkstream gate and follow the one way system to classroom doors.

Adults who are collecting children from both Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 1 / Reception, are asked to collect their older child / children first via the Silkstream entrance (as above) and then follow the one way system past the school office into the infant playground where younger children can be collected.

Adults who are collecting children from Key Stage 1 / Reception, are able to enter directly via the Gaskarth Road gate.

The gates are closed promptly at 3.25pm. Any children who have not been collected will wait in the school office. Please note, we do operate a late collection policy.

Due to safeguarding arrangements, pupils can not be collected between 2.30-3.15pm for appointments.
