Welcome back! I hope that everyone had a wonderful break. This is an exciting half term – with Sports Days coming up and International Evening taking place to name just a few events. We look forward to seeing as many of you at these events as possible.
At the end of this term Mrs Welch, our Special Needs Co-ordinator, will be retiring. She has worked at the school for over 25 years and her contribution to the school has been immense. The school will certainly miss her and we do wish her all the very best in her retirement. We are certain she will keep in touch with the school even when she leaves! Mr Moore, one of our Special Needs teachers, will be taking over the role of Special Needs Co-ordinator. He knows the school and children well and I know he is looking forward to his new role in September.
I am also excited to tell you that Miss Saberwal and her husband are expecting their second baby. Miss Saberwal is planning on being with us until October half term. When she is on maternity leave, Mr Locksley will be taking over as Deputy Head until her return.
Once again this is a busy time with many events and trips taking place. Thank you to those parents who have volunteered their time to come on trips with us – we could not run them without you.
