This last week has been full of the children doing many wonderful activities. Friday saw the whole school take part in music day. It was a fabulous celebration of the many different genres of music that there are in the world, thanks go to Miss Halil and Miss Coussins for organising this day. On Monday our Year 2 children then took part in a music festival at Broadfields School. They sang with four other schools and all the Year 2 staff and Miss Williamson (who went with them) were incredibly proud of them. Tuesday saw our Year 1 children visit the Museum of London Docklands and on Wednesday our Year 5 children also went on a trip. These activities and experiences really do add to the knowledge and skills that we teach the children on a daily basis. The children behave so well on all trips and events – they are a real credit to themselves, you and the school. We also thank those parents who volunteer to go on trips with us as without this we would not be able to run them.
It was great to see so many parents attend our teacher/parent consultations. The teaching staff enjoy showing the progress that your children have made and also strategies that will help them to make further progress.
Please remember we finish school for half term on Friday at 3.10pm and the children are back into school on Tuesday 31st October at 8.55am. I hope that everyone has a good break and we look forward to seeing everyone ready for a new half term.
