Being in school it is wonderful to hear all the staff constantly stating how hard the children are working and the progress that they are making.   It is also great to see so many of our children working together, taking responsibilities and thinking of others.  I continue to be impressed with our Year 6 children as they do a fabulous job in their roles as Mediators and Playground Squad.  Our Year 5 Sports Leaders are also showing real leadership potential.  At lunchtime they are setting challenges for other children to do to keep their fitness up!  Our library monitors (organised by Mrs Dawson) carry out a range of activities within the library, take their roles very seriously and do a fabulous job in making our library a fantastic resource for all.  It is wonderful to see the children all collaborating well together.

We were very proud of one of our Year 2 children who has his work on display at City Hall in Central London.  Sameep entered the 4th Plinth competition and was selected as one of the prize winners, out of 4,000 entries! He went with his parents and Miss Biggs to receive his award and to see his work on display.  It was a fantastic day.  Really well done to him and to all the children at Barnfield who entered.

Do remember that Monday is a Bank Holiday – we are in on Tuesday at the normal time of 8.55am.
