What an exciting week we are having at Barnfield! We have had dinosaurs in the gym! As part of our Investigations Week we had a special workshops for our Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children. They learnt so much about dinosaurs and it was a really hands on, practical way to learn about this topic. Our other year groups went on a special trip to the Natural History Museum and also took part in some workshops. It has been an amazing week so far – do look our for our parent event where we will share with you some of our learning and take a look at the website for some pictures from this fabulous week. A big thank you to Mrs Jones, Miss Cordey and Miss Birer for all of their hard work in organising the week.
A big thank you also are antidepressants over the counter goes to those parents who turned out for our phonics workshop last Friday (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2). It was amazing to see so many of you there and hopefully it gave you some idea of how we teach reading and how we can work with you to support the children. We have another parent workshop coming up soon. On Tuesday 6th February at 6pm – 7pm we have an online safety event. This is a great opportunity to learn how to try to keep you child safe in the fast moving world of technology and apps. If you are able to come please use the entrance on Silkstream Road. This event is for parents only and we ask on this occasion that no children come to this event.
