Wednesday 4th July 2018

A massive thank you to everyone who came last Thursday to our International Evening, it was an amazing event.  We are very grateful to all of you who cooked and shared food and also to everyone who supported the event.  Thank you to all the staff who have worked hard with the children on their dances and an extra special thanks goes to Sharyn Biggs, who organized the whole event.

The weather continues to be very hot, please ensure that your child comes to school with a bottle of water, a sun hat and that sun cream has been applied to them.

Next week we have our Sports Days.

  • Monday 9th July it is the junior sports day, this is held in Silkstream Park next to the school.  Years 3 and 4 are at 9.10am and Years 5 and 6 are at 10.50.
  • Tuesday 10th July is  the infant sports day, this is held on the school site in the football playground.  Those wishing to support their children need to drop them off at school and then walk round.  The main blue gates to the playground will be opened just after 9.10am.  Nursery and Reception will start at 9.15 and Years 1 and 2 begin at 10.40am.

Please ensure your child has their full school PE kit for sports day.

Last week some of our Year 5 and 6 children took part in Copthall Sports.  They all did very well and we are very proud of them.

As we move towards the end of the school year we have let the children know who their new class teacher is going to be and they should have brought a letter home with their information.  Unfortunately Miss Cordey, one of our Assistant Heads is leaving to move to Bristol and Miss Scantlebury is moving to school in Hertfordshire.  We wish them all the best for the future.  Joining the school is Miss Parr, she has been into the school already to meet the children and to get to know the school.
