Year 6 had such a wonderful trip to Cuffley Camp! The teachers were very impressed with their enthusiasm for all activities! It was an amazing week!
Today 2W performed their class assembly which was all about the ‘First Moon Landing’. They shared many exciting facts and the singing and acting was amazing! Well done 2W. You made us really proud!
On Monday 12th June the children from our Choir performed at the Barnet’s Music Festival. They had such a fantastic day, rehearsing and performing both their individual song and opera for the mass choir. They sounded wonderful and all teachers and parents were very proud. Thank you Miss Halil for teaching them.
In May, the children from our Barnfield Ukulele band performed for their parents. They played and sang a selection of songs, including one written by a student and sang by another. Mr Hirons and Miss Halil also contributed by playing their own song. It was lovely to see all their hard work paying off. Year 3 had such a wonderful time on their trip to St Albans Cathedral on Friday 9th June! They really enjoyed learning more about the Romans, acting out the story of St Alban and making mosaics. Their behaviour was absolutely fantastic and we were very proud of them!
As part of our Healthy Week, all classes took part in healthy cooking workshop. Children made smoothies and couscous, which they thoroughly enjoyed! All classes also had a lesson based around healthy eating, with lots of healthy cooking taking place.
Last Tuesday, children in 1J performed their class assembly. They told us the traditional tale ‘The Gingerbread Man’ ; saying their lines confidently and singing beautifully. Well done 1J! You made us all very proud.

The ukulele group performed in assembly on Friday 5th May. They blew the audience away with their strumming skills and singing. It was also wonderful to hear a solo performance from one of our year 4s, written by another year 4 child. Absolutely fantastic! A huge thank you to Mr Hirons for teaching the group.
Children from the Orion primary school came to visit Barnfield School with their pet snake Kellogg. The year 6 girls were very confident, knowledgeable and extremely well spoken. We really enjoyed their visit and learnt lots of new facts. Barnfield children behaved impeccably and set a wonderful example. Well done!
