Year 1 had a special visitor on Monday. Florence Nightingale came to teach us all about her life. She told us all about her childhood and how she knew she wanted to be a nurse. After we joined her in all of her important jobs- we washed the floors, made the beds and bandaged the wounded soldiers. It was such an exciting way to start our new topic in History.
Well done to the Junior children who performed in their Around the World Christmas Production today. The children sung, danced and acted beautifully. Thank you to the adults who came to watch. Have a lovely Christmas!
Thank you to all the families who came to watch the budding actors and actresses of the West End in their Nativity performance. The children did a wonderful job singing, dancing and acting and brought us all some Christmas cheer! Happy Christmas everyone!
What a stunning celebration our gallery event was on Thursday the 6th of December, showcasing all the gorgeous work created by the children across the school from Creativity Week. We are so proud of our Barnfield artists and to quote one mum ‘’it just keeps getting better every year … so impressive’’. Thank you to all for coming to support the event. This year the children looked at some real rebels in the history of art who did things outside the norm. Many of the children explored abstract art, which challenged the children to look at shapes, space and … Continue Reading

Some of our parents kindly volunteered, teaching us about different traditions which classes thoroughly enjoyed. The children participated in a range of activities which encouraged the children to develop their understanding and respect, enriching their own experiences. This included food tasting, looking at traditional dress, bringing in items symbolic to our … Continue Reading
On Friday 16th November we visited the RAF Museum and were amazed by the planes on display. We learnt about many different planes from the very first flight through to today. We even made our very own plane model and took part in a competition to see whose plane could fly the furthest. What a wonderful day it was!
Today Year 5 visited Central London Synagogue. They learnt lots about the Jewish religion and festivals Jews celebrate. Year 5 then went to Regents Park to have lunch.
