Our classrooms were transformed into the rainforest during Investigations Week as our theme this year was ‘Treasures of the Rainforest.’ Children across the year groups found out about why the rainforest is important to us and the problems they face from the use of palm oil to deforestation. In science, the children worked hard to group rainforest animals in different ways including using a classification key. Nursery, Reception and Year 1 met the animal woman who showed them different animals … Continue Reading
Barnfield Nativity was a great success! Year One and Two’s performance was outstanding. It was full of excellent singing and actions with every child shining brightly! Thank you to all of the families who supported us watching and applauding so loudly.
On Tuesday the 10th of December Nursery and Reception performed their Nativity to loved ones. We were incredibly proud of the children who sang and danced with enthusiasm and joy, getting us into the Christmas spirit.

Thank you to everyone who wore odd socks for Anti bullying Week. Being unique and quirky is something to be celebrated! Well done to the Digital Leaders who did a fantastic job when they delivered the assemblies to the whole school.
Last Friday Year 5 took a trip into London to visit the Museum of London and learn more about the Vikings and Anglo Saxons. We were able to see an Ancient Roman wall on the way there too! All of the children were so well behaved and it was a great experience being out altogether as a year grouo. Thank you to the parents who joined us and made this trip possible.
Thank you for all of your kind donations of food for our Harvest assembly at the end of last term. The food was donated to people in need of it. Once again, the Barnfield family’s generosity was overwhelming.
