Schools for Success
Outstanding achievements of Barnfield Primary School recognised by the Mayor of London The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has celebrated the outstanding performance of Barnfield Primary School, amongst other selected London schools, with an awards ceremony. Fundraising
Barnfield Kids did a fantastic job raising £331 on Jeans day last week for our ‘Power Up Our Playground’ school charity! What a fantastic start to this year’s fundraising!
Poetry Week
Poetry week at Barnfield was great! Children across the school took part in poetry fest, exploring a vast range of poetry and a poetry jam, performing poems in class. Many performers were even brave enough to share their poetry in assemblies. Well done to all the children who took part in the competition. You made it very difficult for us to find a winner!
Infant Music Festival
On Thursday 10th October, Miss Williamson took the year 2 children to the Infant Music Festival. The theme this year was “Travelling around the World” and, together with other local schools, Barnfield performed songs from many different countries. We also performed our own song from Ghana. Thank you to the year 2 team for their support, and well done to all the children!
Barnfield’s 90th Birthday!
On Friday 5th July 2019, we celebrated Barnfield’s 90th birthday! Children learnt all about the history of Barnfield Primary School and then celebrated with parties in the afternoons. Thank you to Miss Coussins for organising the day!
Anthony Glenn

Copthall Athletics
This week some of Year 5 and 6 were chosen to represent our school at Copthall Athletics. The children did really well competing in events like high jump, shot put and races. It was a brilliant day out. Well done everyone that came!
International Evening
On Thursday 27th of June, we celebrated our 19th International Evening. What an incredible night it was! 4SW’s class assembly
4SW performed their class assembly on Friday 17th May. They showcased their talents on the glockenspiels, which they played brilliantly! Thank you to everyone who came to watch, and everyone who joined in with “Baby Shark” at the end! Well done to Mrs Siggins, Miss Williamson and Mrs Wagjiani for putting the assembly together!
