On Friday 15th March, 3J performed their class assembly all about the human skeleton to the Juniors and the adults. They all acted wonderfully in their roles with such enthusiasm and sang aloud beautifully! Well done 3J, we are very proud of you!
Thank you to Harry, who came in to lead workshops to prepare a “Play in a Day” on Wednesday 6th February. 3C, 3J, 4H and 4SW each learnt a scene from the story “Treasure Island”. They then put the scenes together in a performance in the afternoon. The children all performed brilliantly!
Well done to the Junior children who performed in their Around the World Christmas Production today. The children sung, danced and acted beautifully. Thank you to the adults who came to watch. Have a lovely Christmas!
What a stunning celebration our gallery event was on Thursday the 6th of December, showcasing all the gorgeous work created by the children across the school from Creativity Week. On Tuesday 27th November, year 3 went on a trip back in time to prehistory. They learnt about hunting and gathering in the Stone Age along with den building. They even listened to a story in an iron age roundhouse!
We just had our 7th Creativity Week at Barnfield Primary where children look at the work of various artists and pull it apart across the curriculum. Across the school the children tackled this with such impressive flair and an artistic explosion took place! In our last week of the Autumn term we celebrated ‘Diversity Week’. We are very proud at Barnfield of the wealth of different cultures that make up our community. Some of our parents kindly volunteered, teaching us about different traditions which classes thoroughly enjoyed. School Council Minutes- 5th November 2018 The school council met today to discuss ideas for the upcoming charity event on Friday 16th November. Today we celebrated Harvest at Barnfield! Each class prepared a creative piece to share with the school. Year 3 blew us away with their beautiful voices. Year 4 inspired us with their thought provoking poem followed by Year 5 who created pieces of art based on what they learnt about locally sourced food.
