Mrs O’Sullivan, who has been Pastoral Manager at the school for 17 years, is retiring at the end of June. Her last working day will be Thursday 27th June, which is also the date of International Evening. We are very sad that she is leaving as her contribution to the school has been immense. She has supported many children and parents over the years and enabled them to be success in school. We will be saying goodbye to her closer to the time. Jackie Bramble, who is our Learning Mentor, is now full time at the school and is always around to help children and parents if they need it. Remember you can always catch her on the playground at the start or end of the school day or do call the school.
All the children continue to work very hard and I have seen some fabulous work as I walk around the school. I was also so impressed with the amount of children who entered our ‘Reading Bingo Challenge’. Prizes were given out on Friday in assembly and it was fabulous to see so many children enjoying a good book.
Our Year 6 children are getting ready for their end of Key Stage 2 SATS which begin on Monday. We know the amount of effort and hard work that they have put into their work and we are very proud of them. We are sure that they are going to do well.
