Welcome to Barnfield Primary School

Welcome to Barnfield Primary School – A message from Mrs Goodwin

Welcome to Barnfield School

At Barnfield, we believe every child — and every member of staff — has a spark inside them. Our job is to help that spark shine brightly. Barnfield is a place full of energy, kindness, curiosity and possibility, where we cheer each other on and aim to be the very best we can be, every single day.

🌟 Respectful • Responsible • Ready to Learn 🌟

These three small but mighty aims sit at the heart of our school. They guide our choices, shape our learning, and help us build a community where everyone feels valued and supported.

We are passionate about helping our pupils grow, flourish and believe in themselves. Our dedicated staff create exciting, ambitious learning experiences that challenge, motivate and nurture every child on their journey. We provide a wealth of enriching community events to compliment the curriculum and extra curricular opportunities.

From the moment our children join us, we encourage them to dream big. Through our focus on Ambitious Me, we help pupils set high aspirations, work with determination, and understand the purpose and joy of learning.

Our curriculum is rooted in five key qualities we want every Barnfield child to develop:

✨ Ambitious Me
🎨 Creative Me
🔍 Curious Me
💛 Empathetic Me
🌿 Healthy Me

These qualities, together with our aims of being respectful, responsible and ready to learn, underpin all aspects of school life. They help our pupils grow into confident, thoughtful and well-rounded young people, ready for whatever comes next.

Learning at Barnfield is challenging, joyful and full of discovery. We celebrate mistakes as stepping stones to success and help our pupils build resilience and a growth mindset so they feel confident taking risks and trying new things.

We are incredibly proud of our diverse and inclusive community. Every child and family brings something unique to Barnfield, and we value and celebrate who they are. Strong relationships are at the centre of everything we do — we want every child to feel safe, happy, inspired and truly seen.

We are proud of our school, our community, and the wonderful children we have the privilege to work with every day. Whether you are a prospective pupil, parent or member of staff, we would love to welcome you and share what makes Barnfield such a special place. Please contact the school office if you would like to arrange a visit.

I look forward to meeting you.
